Lieder Ohne Worte - Songs Without Words - Chants Sans Paroles. I - Songs Without Words - 17 Variations Serieuses in D minor, Op. 54 (LP, Box).
One person found this helpful. Rena Kyriakou -born in Crete- was probably the most outstanding performer who never had the German composer. And Rena understood as anyone how to build the musical phrase with the key to attaining sound of the score and remove the color, fragrance and poetry that nest in these pages.
Songs Without Words (Lieder ohne Worte) is a series of short lyrical piano pieces by the Romantic composer Felix Mendelssohn, written between 1829 and 1845. His sister Fanny Mendelssohn and other composers also wrote pieces in the same genre. The eight volumes of Songs Without Words, each consisting of six "songs" (Lieder), were written at various points throughout Mendelssohn's life, and were published separately.

Songs Without Words (COMPLETE). by Felix y for piano solo. I had learned to play 2 of these "Chants sans paroles", as we label them in French. to listen to, as well as to play. There are different difficulty levels so I chose "Medium". I had recently purchased a CD of the complete collection, exquisitely played by Else Von Alpenhiem.
