Released November 7, 2011. The Best of Pink Floyd: A Foot in the Door Tracklist. It was released in 2011 as part of the Why Pink Floyd campaign. Although the majority of the material present in this album comes from the band’s two bestselling albums, The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall, this collection has been recognized internationally, charting in eighteen countries and reaching the top 30 in sixteen of them. Apart from these tunes, A Foot in the Door serves up the expected - five cuts from Dark Side of the Moon, three from Wish You Were Here, four from The Wall (of the big radio staples, Run Like Hell and Young Lust are absent), adding the early Syd Barrett See Emily Play and the latter-day High Hopes and . Learning to Fly almost as afterthoughts.

Pink Floyd compilation from 2011 will be released on vinyl for the very first time in September. The 16-track album was originally issued on CD only and features material recorded between 1967 - 1994, including See Emily Play, Another Brick In The Wall, Part 2, Wish You Were Here, Money, Comfortably Numb, Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Learning To Fly. All 16 tracks have been newly mastered by James Guthrie and Joel Plante, with the heavyweight vinyl cut by Bernie Grundman in Los Angeles. The 2LP version will also feature the reinstated version of Time with the ringing clocks at the start. It was originally cut from the CD release.

The album package comes in a gatefold outer sleeve, with two separate printed inner bags, and is pressed on heavyweight 180 gram vinyl. Newly mastered for vinyl in 2018 by longstanding Pink Floyd associate James Guthrie, with Joel Plante, and with lacquers cut by Bernie Grundman of Grundman Mastering in Los Angeles, California, the 2-LP version features at least one difference from the CD version. Time’ is slightly longer, with the ringing alarm clocks at the start of the track reinstated.
