The Black Sorrows are an Australian blues rock band formed in 1983 by mainstay vocalist Joe Camilleri (ex-Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons), who also plays saxophone and guitar. Camilleri has used various line-ups to record 17 albums, with five reaching the top 20 on the ARIA Albums Charts: Hold on to Me (September 1988), Harley and Rose (August 1990), Better Times (September 1992), The Chosen Ones - Greatest Hits (November 1993) and Lucky Charm (November 1994).

The Black Sorrows will never be a heritage act as for us there’s no finish line  . I get to mix well over 200 bands a year and the Black Sorrows blew me away. Rarely go to gigs as a punter but when they come back this way I’ll be attending. I never owned or played at home a BS album but I knew very well the hit songs due to air time & parties etc. Better to play several hit songs in a row at the beginning, then you've got us for the rest of the concert during which time we're then happier to listen to the the new & less-well known songs

The Blue Grotto is a natural sea cave, 60 meters long and 25 meters wide. The cave mouth is two meters wide but only roughly a meter high, so to enter visitors must board small rowboats which transport a maximum of four passengers. The skipper will have you lay back along the bottom of the boat while he guides you through the opening using a metal chain attached to the cave walls.
