Booji Boys are a punk rock group from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Their name comes from a Devo reference but the similarities basically end there. They have 5 members who love to rock (Cody Googoo, Alex Mitchell, Steve Earle, Adam LeDrew, Justin Crowe). Anyways, Booji Boys is fantastic. They're not straight-up Devo worship like you might've expected, though that's subjective depending on what sort of material you associate with Devo. If you're more of a fan of their earlier work, stripped of most experimental elements, then you're going to fall in love with the Booji Boys. It rarely strays far from its poppy and energetic formula, though I would never ask for it to, since they all play it so damn well. This tape just permeates memorable hooks and melodies left, right, and center, and all those guitar licks never fail.
