Though all certifying bodies give awards for album sales or shipments, many also certify singles, paid digital downloads, music videos, music DVDs, and master ringtones. Additionally, some certifying bodies have separate threshold scales for works of domestic or international origins, varying genres, lengths, and formats. Dutch is closely related to Afrikaans, English, and German as well as Frisian. The variety of Dutch spoken in Belgium and northeastern France is called Flemish. Need more Dutch? Try the Learn Dutch Online course at Udemy or the audio and video podcasts at DutchPod101.

Our classes are based on the direct method. There is an important role for Dutch culture throughout our courses. The Beginners A1 course includes a series of 6 short lectures on aspects of Dutch society such as history, geography, politics, arts and media. In the first few weeks these talks/discussions will be in English, but later on they will be held in Dutch. This course does not require any prior knowledge of Dutch. Knowledge of English is required to attend the Beginners Course.

An album is made up of individual tracks and not all tracks are created equal. Unless you’re The Beatles and you’ve just produced Sergeant Pepper, some tracks are going to be deemed stronger than others. Only in the cases where the artist had little to no creative control of their work would the "record company" (typically an A&R man) do this job. In a traditional pop context, records were sequenced with the hits or prospective singles "up front" - typically the lead single would be the first song and the other expected singles would follow to round out the first side of the album or tape, with a change-of-pace track inserted here or there if the single tracks were too similar. but that is not the typical situation. A Mastering Engineer is also a possibility as was mentioned.

A Dutch A1 course consists of ten weekly sessions of 2,5 hours each. The final exam takes place after the course on a predetermined date. 1 consists of ten weekly sessions of 2,5 hours each.
