A Loss for Words (formerly Last Ride) was an American pop punk band from Abington, Massachusetts. Matty Arsenault and Danny Poulin from Lions Lions started a new band, Last Ride Pony Rides and, in 1999, it would soon feature Kreg Dudley, Chris Murphy, and Evan Cordeiro. The band had five names listed in a notebook before they changed it, and one of the names was A Loss for Words. The band would change its name to A Loss for Words after attending a minister's service

Canephora to me was one of those bands. I imagine the singer rolling around the floor of a VFW hall with no shoes on, choker around the neck, bleached hair, and unnaturally pale scream his lungs out. Probably literally. Chaotic metal that really is more structured and planned than most want to admit, but its pretty good for what it is. Not a lot of hooks here to stand out from others, but if the whole screamo thing is your bag or angst, rock it. Moo Cow was a label prided itself on releasing records of bands they/he liked.

A Loss For Words' debut with Rise No Sanctuary gives a little more validity to the Rise roster as it is certainly a breath of fresh air amongst all the debauchery. This album kicks off at a million miles per hour with the opening track Honeymoon Eyes. Bouncy yet still melodic, this song does an excellent job blending fast paced rock reminiscent of Yellowcard with their general pop-punk style. The chorus is as catchy as they come and this is the case with most of the album

A Loss For Words are a pop punk band from Abington, Massachusetts that formed in 2000. Their early career was very focused on their DIY ethics, and I guess they didn't really focus on the band full-time either. I'm not entirely sure what went on in their early history, to be honest. But, they eventually did start putting out records and touring very consistently, and they've been at it for quite a few years now. These guys have got a great sound.
