Raymond Herbert Wise (born August 20, 1947) is an American actor. He is best known for his roles as Alec Holland in Swamp Thing (1982), Leon C. Nash in RoboCop (1987), Leland Palmer in Twin Peaks (1990–1991, 2017) and its prequel film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992), Jack Taggart Sr. in Jeepers Creepers 2 (2003), Don Hollenbeck in Good Night, and Good Luck (2005), Vice President Hal Gardner in 24 (2006), and The Devil in Reaper (2007–2009).

The Parable of the Ten Virgins, also known as the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins or the Parable of the ten bridesmaids, is one of the well known parables of Jesus. According to the Gospel of Matthew 25:1-13, the five virgins who are prepared for the bridegroom's arrival are rewarded, while the five who are not prepared are disowned.
