Jive Bunny: The Album is the debut album by Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers, released in 1989 by Telstar Records. It includes two UK number one singles: "Swing the Mood" and "That's What I Like". Each of the album's tracks is made up of a medley of songs and samples from the 1940s to the 1970s. The album peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and was the Christmas number two album that year. Rock and Roll Party Mix".
That's What I Like, It's Party Time.
Overall, "It's Party Time" signalled the end of the Jive Bunny and the MasterMixers phenonomen. It's claimed the producers were finding it difficult to obtain licensing rights for the musical samples, so the quality of mixes suffered. Personally, I believe this album "It's Party Time" was a mistake, but there you go. Jive Bunny DID continue to release MANY budget priced albums after "It's Party Time" in 1990 right up to (the last one in) 2001, plus a brilliant full-priced double album ("Hop Around The Clock") in 1998 - which I highly.
