This is a beautiful October 1964 playbill from the Original Broadway production of the JULE STYNE and BOB MERRILL musical comedy hit "FUNNY GIRL" which played the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City. The production opened March 26th, 1964 and ran for 1348 performances. The musical marked the first starring role for BARBRA STREISAND as "Fanny Brice" and also starred SYDNEY CHAPLIN as "Nick Arnstein". Featured in the cast were KAY MEDFORD, LEE ALLEN, JEAN STAPLETON, ALAN MANSON, JOSEPH MACAULAY, BUZZ MILLER, GEORGE REEDER and ROYCE WALLACE.

Sydney Chaplin, as Brice's husband, the gambler Nick Arnstein, was less impressive, with a very limited vocal range that sounded even more inadequate than usual against Streisand's remarkable instrument.
