It is their 16th studio album and was released in multiple formats, including a double-disc deluxe version, featuring two b-sides and three remixes. The song "Rain" was released as a music video to promote the record. Drums of death" – 5:41. Enchanted Dots Of Light" – 5:06. Storm Flower" – 4:19.

Throughout Weezer (The Black Album), Cuomo pleads with listeners to follow him past Pinkerton, and out of that dark apartment. I lived my life, he sings, and that’s much better than hiding in a hole. The band attacks this project from every angle: cynical sneering at the pressures of commercialization ( Can’t Knock the Hustle ), wistful longing for artistry without an audience ( High as a Kite ), and the aforementioned open death threats of Zombie Bastards. The production, too, rarely bears even a passing resemblance to the power pop that first endeared Weezer to listeners. Elsewhere, The Black Album stumbles when Cuomo opts for universality over specificity. smothers its interesting ideas under broad brush strokes. Piece of Cake is a shallow, plodding re-tread of the White Album stand-out Do You Wanna Get High?

Hamburg-based Project Pitchfork started in 1989, primarly inspired by electronic New Wave artists such as Ultravox, The Human League, Invisible Limits, early Skinny Puppy, and the more pop-oriented era of SPK. Another influence was the New Age movement that included acts like Jean-Michel Jarre and Vangelis.

Talk about Project Pitchfork - Black

lacki
I'm usually a big admirer of Project Pitchfork (in fact, "Dhyani" would make it onto my 10 favorite albums of all time), but this one is simply boring. I don't like a single track, which I did on the three albums preceding and the one ("Blood") following this - apparently lazy- release. Which would deserve little more than a short lazy review.
