Colin Dale - Colin Dale's Outer Limits - Colin Dale CD OFVG The Fast Free. This is a 9-minute plus epic song that delivers various musical motifs before the lyrics even come in. It sounds a bit typical of late seventies pop prog but cliches aside, this song is executed remarkably well. The harmony vocals are good and at one point a female guest sings with a soft operatic voice. Okay I think OUTER LIMITS or the album Stromatolite be the golden standards of symphonic progressive rock scene. Indeed I can understand they remind us the sounds by King Crimson or UK because their sounds should be heavier, stricter than of another Japanese band. Their symphony is very steady and well-balanced, without one projecting instrument.

The Outer Limits is an American television series that was broadcast on ABC from 1963 to 1965 at 7:30 PM Eastern Time on Mondays. The series is often compared to The Twilight Zone, but with a greater emphasis on science fiction stories (rather than stories of fantasy or the supernatural matters). The Outer Limits is an anthology of self-contained episodes, sometimes with a plot twist at the end.

Ive listened to this album hundreds of times since I purchased in 94. 25 years later I still get the shivers from its futuristic sound. A classic in every sense.
Dreladred
Unbelievably good compilation but a bit pricey.think I paid like £10 for mine and that was only a few years back.A true snapshot of trance/techno at the time though, glorious!

100% agree with the previous comment. Been listening to this for 20+ years and still sounds superb - inspired by his radio show of the same name on Kiss - happy days/nights!
