Jon is a one-man outfit born in the hills of Dukinfield (Stockport, . who has a heavy passion for beats, basslines and luscious melodies. Signing to many labels over the years including : Tru Thoughts, Grand Central, Organik Recordings, My First Moth, Vinylize and running the Jon Kennedy Federation.

Jon Kennedy is a drummer and electronic musician who was born in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester, England. He was discovered in 2000 when he passed a demo CD to Ninja Tune artist Mr Scruff. Scruff played tracks from the CD soon after on his "Unfold" radio show on Brighton's Juice 10.

East Meets East is a collaborative studio album released through EMI Classics in 2003 by violinist Nigel Kennedy and the Kroke band (Jerzy Bawoł on accordion, Tomasz Kukurba on viola and Tomasz Lato on double bass), surrounded by several guest artists of international reputation such as Natacha Atlas, Mo Foster, and the Kraków Philharmonic Orchestra. The album revisits some traditional songs and new compositions, ranging into central and eastern European music tradition as well as Arabic influences.
