Fu Manchu is an American stoner rock band formed in Southern California in 1985. Fu Manchu originally formed in 1985 as a hardcore punk band called Virulence. The line up was vocalist Ken Pucci, guitarist Scott Hill, bassist Mark Abshire, and drummer Ruben Romano. In 1987 Abshire left the band and was replaced by Greg McCaughey. in 1988, which was released on Alchemy Records (1989).

Gigantoid is the eleventh album by the southern California stoner rock band Fu Manchu. It was released on April 29, 2014 on At The Dojo Records. The album features a slightly more primitive, raw and ultra fuzzed-out sound than previous releases. Dimension Shifter" - 4:31. Invaders On My Back" - 2:27. Anxiety Reducer" - 4:57. Radio Source Sagittarius" - 3:57. Evolution Machine" - 5:05. Triplanetary" - 2:10. The Last Question" - 7:54. Scott Hill - vocals, guitar.

Gigantoid went unfairly unnoticed, in what proved to be not the best, but their most metallic album of their career. The Fu Manchu style sounds like throwing AC/DC riffs into the mud, while Blue Cheer is putting them on fire with whiskey, just a moment before Black Sabbath put the flames away by urinating. On Gigantoid, the veterans play their most raw and primitive act for nearly a decade. The production is natural and vibrant at the same time, as the band has found an ideal balance between retro and dynamic, updating their sound while preserving their sonic trademark

Gigantoid", the new album from Southern California hard rock mainstays FU MANCHU, can be streamed in its entirety using the SoundCloud widget below (courtesy of Noisey). The CD will be released on April 29 via the band's own At The Dojo Records. After almost 25 years together, and following last year's Scion A/V Club split seven-inch single with friends MOAB and 2009's "Signs Of Infinite Power", Scott Hill and company return with their first full-length album in close to five years
