Stefan Weisser began playing the drums at age 4. He moved to New York City from San Francisco in 1979, and adopted the name Z'EV, his work with performance/noise percussion broke new ground and drew the attention of rock symphonist Glenn Branca, dancer Simone Forti, guitarist Rudolph Grey and just about everybody related to the downtown scene.

L'Album des Six (original title: "Album des 6") is a suite of six piano pieces published in 1920 by Eugène Demets, and written by the members of the group of French composers known as Les Six. This publication occurred in the same year as Les Six was first named as a recognisable group in French music. The journalist Henri Collet supplied that name in an article in the arts journal Comoedia published on 16 January 1920, which followed a joint concert by the six composers on 8 January.

Notes

"This is the first video to be released of Zev's work. With shows from the notorious "Mabuhay Gardens" opening for The Screamers and The Mutants, Target Video believes Zev is one of the most unique and important artist of this century. Zev is a percussionist who uses found objects such as metal and plastic tubes, pans, bottles, chains, springs, bars of steel,, sheets of metal etc. which are hurtled, beaten with mallets or sticks, orchestrated for contrasts and crescendos of rhythmic noise, at times dangerous to the performer and audience alike. Other performances included on this tape are "Live at the University of London," opening for Bauhaus, "Live at Target," the first Video Album released by Target Video , "The Farm" performance, and the legendary "Target After Hours" events in 1980. This videotape must be played at high volume for leveling houses.
