The listings for 1958 to 1969 are obviously by no means complete. The earliest recalled 'performance' of David so far was at Christmas time in the early Fifties. David also performed with various bands on a casual basis. Some of which included The High Numbers (aka The Who), The T-Bones and Sonny Boy Williamson. I turned up at a very professional audition at the Marquee Club in Wardour Street, London, one Saturday morning, and got the gig. I reckon David chose me because I was wearing Swedish clothes, a suede jean-jacket, suede jeans and blue clogs - nobody in England had seen that stuff before and I think David was impressed.
