Simphony of Pain is an underrated EP by an underrated band. They play old school death metal with harsh melody and some black metal undertones. Interestingly enough, Fabio Mociatti performs both drums and vocals. Except when singing an occasional chorus, Mociatti uses generally coarse death vocals, yet they are executed in an exceptional manner and tone - not too distorted or guttural. Accomplishing this while your four limbs move at different paces is even more of a feat. Equipped with two guitarists, there is no lack of solos and many of these possess a e edge  . Gravestone tackles a few issues with track 5, Corpse Embodiment, being their only gore-soaked song. Track 4, Human Vivisection, is a great song that happens to be pro-animal rights. A little different for a death metal band, but nothing that hasn’t been done before.
