Volume One - First Time On Vinyl! Reaching Japan in early 1995, Dream Theater witnessed the Great Hanshin earthquake on January 17th. Although they considered cancelling their pre-booked Japanese dates, they decided to continue, holding a minute's silence before each show in honor of those killed, injured or otherwise affected by the turmoil.

The discography of Dream Theater, an American progressive metal/rock band, consists of fourteen studio albums, one extended play, eight live albums, one compilation album, eight video albums, nine singles, and eleven music videos. The band was formed under the name Majesty by guitarist John Petrucci, bassist John Myung, and drummer Mike Portnoy while the three of them were attending Berklee College of Music in September 1985

During that time Dream Theater developed a rabid fan base that remains with them today - especially when it comes to their mind-blowing live shows. on Live In Tokyo, James' voice is in top notch and so is the band. 5 Years In A Live Time : this is NOT James' fault, but, while on vacation in Cuba and accidently ate contaminated shrimp and was violently nauseated. Awesome album, by the way. But If you are just getting into this band, this DVD set is an excellent place to start. You'll learn a lot of things about this band's history throughout the 90's, like lineup changes, the rigors of touring, and such.
