Faith No More was originally formed as Sharp Young Men in 1979 by bassist Billy Gould, drummer Mike Bordin, vocalist Mike Morris, and keyboardist Wade Worthington. Mike Morris described the name as "a piss-take on all the ‘elegant’ groups at the time". In February 1991, Faith No More released its only official live album, Live at the Brixton Academy. The album includes two previously unreleased studio tracks, "The Grade" and "The Cowboy Song". The same year, the band contributed a track for the motion picture soundtrack to Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey with the song "The Perfect Crime".

Tracks 1 to 8 recorded live at The Brixton Academy, Saturday 28th April 1990. All tracks published by Rondor Music (London) Ltd. except track 4 by Westminster Music Ltd. Track 2: "Pump Up The Jam" published by The Brothers. I once referred to this as one of the 2 worst live albums I've ever heard (Prodigy's "Live - Worlds On Fire" was the other one) due to the vocalist hitting the right note less than 5% of the time. The 2 bonus studio tracks are good though. In fact Cowboy Song is one of their best.

Recorded live on April 28, 1990 at London's Brixton Academy, You Fat B tards (the title taken from a joking stage rant from vocalist Mike Patton at a previous . concert), captures Faith No More just as their album The Real Thing and single "Epic" started to become worldwide hits

Live at the Brixton Academy, a live album released by Sizzla on 29 August 2000. David Gray recorded his concert on 16 December 2000 as the album Live At Brixton Academy December 2000. Motörhead recorded their 25th Anniversary concert on 20 October 2000 at Brixton Academy entitled 25 & Alive Boneshaker, released as DVD music video in 2001 and as an audio album later in 2003 under the Live at Brixton Academy title, the latter featuring the façade of Carling Academy Brixton on the cover. Faith No More had their performance filmed at The Brixton Academy in 1990 In Bed With Carter was filmed at Brixton Academy.

It was recorded by William Shapland on April 28, 1990 in the Brixton Academy, London during the tour supporting their third studio album The Real Thing. It was released on August 20, 1990 Internationally and as an audio only version, under the name of Live at the Brixton Academy, in the United Kingdom on February 4, 1991 with two bonus tracks from The Real Thing sessions.

The Real Thing (Faith No More album). The Real Thing is the third studio album by American rock band Faith No More, released on June 20, 1989 by Slash and Reprise Records. It was the first major release by the band not to feature vocalist Chuck Mosley. Instead, the album featured Mike Patton from the experimental/funk band Mr. Bungle.

You Fat Bastards: Live at the Brixton Academy was the only officially released live album by Faith No More. It was recorded by William Shapland on April 28, 1990 in the Brixton Academy, London during the tour supporting their third studio album The Real Thing.

A sticker affixed to the front of the jewel case reads "A Faith No More Classic album now at mid-price". This was the first version to have a clear CD tray and a traycard to be read through it. The traycard promotes the Faith No More "Mid-price" range which was released to coincide with the Faith No More retrospective, 'Who Cares A Lot?'.

Copies distributed by PolyGram Polska also had a ZAIKS sticker on the front.
