Mark Broom (born 6 May 1971) is a British techno DJ and music producer. He was born in Oxford, UK. During the Second Summer of Love in 1989 Broom was travelling to Tenerife, where he first heard music genres like Chicago house and Acid house. At his return to the UK he bought his first turntables and started his musical career. He regularly visited the London record store FatCat Records and was introduced to Baby Ford as well as Ed Handley and Andy Turner from Black Dog Productions.

Broom also supplies the tribal knocks of ‘Jungle’, but your attention is better directed to the B-side and Floorplan’s Re-Plant of the gospel techno banger ‘He Can Save You’ from their ‘Victorious’ album.

First up, UK veteran Mark Broom delivers a dubplate take on the Flooorplan standard Never Grow Old. Broom focuses his efforts on snippets of the original vocal and wraps them around a dramatic chord build, making for a fine peak time workout.

Almost 30 years into this career, Mark Broom is an artist whose achievements can be easy to overlook. With little fuss or fanfare, he puts out a handful of EPs and remixes each year with the aim of maximum dance floor efficiency. Take the last few months, for instance. Recently I've been in the studio with James Ruskin as we have a collaborative project called The Fear Ratio and we're aiming to get our third album out at some point this year. We're pretty excited at the outcome of our studio sessions, so watch this space. I've also been busy with quite a few forthcoming remixes.
