Lyrics to "Star Generation" song by James Brown: Way in the middle of the night, yeah Down in the ghetto, even again, yeah In the mornin', ow Did y. .Star generation Sleeping over the land) Funky kid Slick, wanna be (Wants to be a man) Something better than a cotton-picking man (All he ever really wanted, was a Chance to get down) And be a superstar (And be a superstar With the disco, disco, disco crowd). Yeah, let the man do his thing. Oh, he stood there and listened, yeah And the beat began to pound And his body was rocking From the funky, funky funky sound So he learned all the dances From the kids on the block, hah!

Even in 1962, James Brown was known as & hardest working man in show business', but the release of this album made him the undeniable & of Soul'. The four Bonus tracks on this CD consist of three singles released in that period plus another short Medley. These repeat songs already in the original live album and are, nevertheless, nice additions to the CD. This CD is beyond classic, it is an essential recording to own. This deserves a SIXTH Star. 6 people found this helpful. Perhaps the best James Brown album around and it's live!!
