Never Say Never is the second studio album by American singer Brandy. Released by Atlantic Records on June 9, 1998 in United States, Norwood's label consulted David Foster and upcoming producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and his team to work with her on the record, the latter of who went on to craft the majority of the album and would evolve as her mentor and head producer on succeeding projects in the 2000s.

Shortly after the release of her eponymous debut in 1995, Brandy became a star. Not only did the album sell well, but she starred on UPN's Moesha and Disney's made-for-TV Cinderella, all before she released her second album, Never Say Never, in 1998. Needless to say, there was much more riding on the second record than the debut and, fortunately, she follows through with Never Say Never, delivering an album that rivals her first. Brandy wisely decides to find a middle ground between Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige - it's adult contemporary with a slight streetwise edge.

1. Never Say Never Lyrics. Who would ever thought a guy Would want a girl like me Who would ever thought that I Would fall so easily Who would ever thought that we Would finally come to be I guess they don't know How much you mean to me Who would ever thought that they Would have some words to say We'll go on anyway. It's alright, it's okay Take what ever comes our way Together we will stay I got three words to say Never say never

Brandy really is sitting on "Top of the World" on her second album. The Boy Is Mine, her playful romantic tug-of-war with Monica, speaks to her dominance as a collaborator-as does her ability to riff with Mase over a jiggy bounce. But this is a teen at the height of her own star power, whether granting a wayward ex forgiveness on the melancholy "Angel in Disguise" or expressing sweet longing in the surging soul balladry of "Have You Ever. With Rodney Darkchild Jerkins churning out lighter-than-air R&B-pop, Ms. Norwood soars above her peers.

Never Say Never" is without a doubt one of the singer's best album to date. The songs sound much more personal and believable, and the music is well produced. I purchased this album a few months ago and I was blown away. I was only a child when Brandy was dominant in the industry. So I did not own any music, but I do remember liking Brandy a lot. I think that this album was well put together; it comes off as cohesive to me. It just makes sense. I can see how this album went on to sell 5 million in the US. Stand out songs are: Angel in Disguise, Almost Doesn't Count, Never Say Never, Have You Ever, Put that On Everything, Happy, One Voice, Tomorrow, and Everything I Do. I know I just listed the entire album practically (lol).
