Caravan Palace is the debut studio album by the electro swing group Caravan Palace, released on 20 October 2008. Six Star General by Vinegar Joe from 1973. I don’t see many posts of vinyl from these folks on IG. They were a short lived English R&B band of the early 70s. Probably best know for featuring Elkie Brooks and the sadly departed Robert Palmer both of whom went onto great solo success. This was their third and last album and it’s a good listen. The music is not just straight up R&B, it’s quite funk influenced at times with some honky tonk vibes too. Lots of fun. It’s the only album of theirs I have so I’ll be hunting down the other two for sure
