Some original bandleaders, such as Harry James and Artie Shaw, were recruited to re-create their own hits, but most of the work was done by two leaders, Glen Gray and Freddy Martin. The Casa Loma Orchestra was an American dance band active from 1927 to 1963. With the decline of the big band business following the end of World War II, it disbanded in 1947

one of the great dynamic recording studios, between 1957 and 1964 and released under the name "Glen Gray and the Casa Loma Orchestra" on a series of popular LPs. The wide separation stereo sound and airy acoustics arouns the instruments sounds better than a lot of the more run-of-the-mill digital stereo recordings made today. Stereo was a point of pride back then! Technically, this isn't the TRUE Casa Loma Orchestra
