Allstar Weekend was an American pop rock band based in Poway, California. The band gained its popularity from the Disney Channel television network. The band consisted of lead singer Zachary "Zach" David Porter, bassist Cameron Quiseng, and drummer Michael Allen Martinez. In September 2011, guitarist Nathan Darmody left the band and later pursued his solo career. They were best known for the singles "Dance Forever", "Come Down with Love", and "A Different Side of Me". They disbanded on August 4, 2013.

Suddenly Yours is the debut full-length studio album by American pop rock band Allstar Weekend. It was released on October 19, 2010 by Hollywood Records. The album is preceded by the lead single, "Dance Forever", which was released on June 7, 2010. The album's second single, "Come Down with Love" was released on September 19, 2010. On August 30, 2010, Allstar Weekend performed Dance Forever and The Weekend live on Good Morning America.

The members of the San Diego quartet Allstar Weekend met when they were in high school, and after a few years of gigging and making their debut EP, they still sound like they are in high school. The sunny, breezy emo pop sound of Suddenly is geared for teenagers who want something a little more punk that the Jonas Brothers but not punk enough to muss up anyone’s carefully styled hair. The group writes very catchy songs with very teenage concerns: songs about identity, crushes, painful breakups, how awesome weekends are, and how rad it would be to suddenly become a rock star.

Meanwhile, Allstar Weekend's YouTube videos (for the aforementioned single and Journey to the End of My Life) racked up an impressive amount of viewings, and their debut mini-album, Suddenly, was released in June 2010. Produced by a set of proven emo pop producers (Howard Benson, John Feldmann, and S A M & Sluggo), the record showcased the bands youthful exuberance and knack for a catchy chorus. In the summer of 2011, Nathan Darmody dropped out of the band for their tour with Selena Gomez due to personal issues. The band hired Eric Nicolau to fill in on guitar on that tour, and subsequent shows, before announcing Darmody's departure from the group in September. Later in the month, the band returned with their second album All the Way, featuring the singles "Not Your Birthday" and "Blame It on September.
