Essential Northern Soul Story. Golden Age Of Northern Soul, The: 50 Dancefloor Stormers. Northern Soul: The Collection. After Hours 2 is therefore a pleasant surprise. I don't have many of these and there are hardly any duff ones. Check out The Marvellos and "Something's Burning" or Barbara Lynn and "Take your love and run". More great northern dance hall favourites which may not be instantly familiar, but listern a few times and they will soon become firm favourites.

The third volume in the extraordinary After Hours series digs ever deeper into the Warner and Atlantic vaults, rediscovering grooves so rare the labels themselves no doubt forgot they even existed. That these 29 singles originated within Warner and Atlantic is both their blessing and their curse - major-label money funded these sides, and as a result they boast nothing but the best in terms of writing, production, and craftsmanship. But on the other hand, smaller indie labels with more at stake might have given these records a greater promotional push instead.

Three months after My-Boi's creation, Trinity Christian Academy was notified of Barnett's homosexuality, and the school administration called on him to further discuss his sexual orientation. Trinity did not take the further action of expelling Barnett for his "promotion" of homosexuality, unlike the media said. The Fame Studios Story - 1961-1973 released: 2011.
