I talk about the 1976 Beatles compilation album; Rock and Roll Music and the controversy that The Beatles THEMSELVES had with the album. Rock N Roll music has served some purpose however opportunistic it is. In and of itself, I think the compilation is not bad. But it could have been better if it was planned better. In the UK we had vol 1 & 2 released in 1976 then re-released in 1980. They were released on the ‘budget’ mfp (music for pleasure) label which was part of the EMI group. I don’t ever remember a double album in the UK (I may be wrong) & the sound quality of the pressing was a bit poor.
