Don't be fooled by the bubblegum pop sound because Dressy Bessy knows how to jam out on their instruments. It's very upbeat and never fails to get me in a good mood on my drive to work.

Pink Hearts Yellow Moons is about as perfect as pop records come - fuzzy, buoyant, and ridiculously catchy, in essence it's a classic girl group disc re-imagined for the lo-fi era, brilliantly marrying its head-bobbing melodies and la-la-la harmonies with a garage-quality sonic approach which lends even the most precious moments a tuff-grrrl edge.

Dressy Bessy's first full-length release Pink Hearts, Yellow Moons (1999) was a mixture of beat group drums, infectious songs, and the odd burst of harmonium. Further releases include California EP (2000), Sound Go Round (2002), and 2003's Dressy Bessy, which incorporated a harder guitar sound. 2003 also brought the compilation Little Music: Singles 1997-2002. These albums were initially released on Kindercore Records of Athens, Georgia.

Not surprisingly, it's been pretty hard to get into I don't know.
