George Craig Ludlow (April 6, 1830 – December 18, 1900) was an American Democratic Party politician, who served as the 25th Governor of New Jersey from 1881 to 1884. Born in Milford, New Jersey, Ludlow moved to New Brunswick as a child, where he would remain for the rest of his life. Ludlow graduated from Rutgers University in 1850. As a lawyer for the Pennsylvania Railroad, he soon entered politics in New Jersey and was elected as a Democrat to the New Jersey Senate in 1876
