Album Stephen Stills. Love The One You’re With Lyrics. If you're down and confused And you don't remember who you're talking to Concentration slip away Because your baby is so far away. Well, there's a rose in a fisted glove And the eagle flies with the dove And if you can't be with the one you love, honey Love the one you're with Love the one you're with Love the one you're with Love the one you're with. And there's a rose in a fisted glove And eagle flies with the dove And if you can't be with the one you love, honey Love the one you're with Love the one you're with Love the one you're with Love the one you're with. Do-do, do do, do do, do-do Do-do, do do, do do, do-do Do-do, do do, do do, do-do Do-do-do, do-do-do.

Love the One You're With" is a song by folk rocker Stephen Stills. It was released as the lead single from his debut self-titled studio album in November 1970. The song, inspired by a remark Stills heard from musician Billy Preston, became his biggest hit single, peaking at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1971. David Crosby and Graham Nash, Stills' fellow members of Crosby, Stills & Nash, provide background vocals on the song.

Love the One You're With," which started life as a phrase that Stills borrowed from Billy Preston at a party, is the song from this album that everybody knows, but it's actually one of the lesser cuts here - not much more than a riff and an upbeat lyric and mood, albeit all of it infectious  . To a Flame" is downright ethereal, while the live "Black Queen" is a superb piece of acoustic blues.

Love the One You're With," Stills' biggest solo hit single, peaked at on the Billboard Hot 100 on December 19, 1970, and another single pulled from the album, "Sit Yourself Down," went to on March 27, 1971. The album peaked at on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart in the week of December 5, 1970. It was reissued by WEA after being digitally remastered using the HDCD process on December 5, 1995. Stephen Stills’ longtime partners David Crosby and Graham Nash dubbed him Captain Manyhands because of his multi-instrumental abilities. Recorded mostly in England, this album features him playing everything from guitar to organ and steel drums as he stretches his creative limits. Stills delves into thoughtful folk-rock ( Do for the Others ), lusty acoustic blues ( Black Queen ) and horn-fattened jazz-rock ( Cherokee ) with his trademark scratchy-voiced gusto. Striking a more carnal note is Love The One You’re With, the effusively Caribbean-flavored tune that became the album’s biggest hit. The stellar cast of guest players is mostly well used, with Jimi Hendrix’s scorching licks on Old Times Good Times and Eric Clapton’s expansive soloing on Go Back Home especially worth savoring. Captain Manyhands never sailed with more daring than on these tracks. Stephen Stills Stephen Stills.

S Stephen Stills Stephen Stills. Drawn to a flame She is far away Out of reach Will she burn her wings I can only watch Out of touch Out of my mind. I wish I could tell If she's alright Feeling fine It's lucky for me I'm not a jealous man Out of hand Out of my mind. When this party's over Over I will loose her To another. Get yourself someone And then wave goodbye Don't you cry Go ahead break your heart But don't fall apart It's like saying goodbye To friends for the first time. Lyrics was added by Srnkaaa  . 4.
