Crosby, Stills & Nash (CSN) was a vocal folk rock supergroup made up of American singer-songwriters David Crosby and Stephen Stills and English singer-songwriter Graham Nash. They were also known as Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (CSNY) when joined by Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young, who was an occasional fourth member. They were noted for their intricate vocal harmonies, often tumultuous interpersonal relationships, political activism, and lasting influence on American music and culture.

Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's performance at Woodstock was only their second show together. Before forming the band, Crosby had been a member of The Byrds, Nash was with The Hollies, Stills and Young were members of Buffalo Springfield. Neil Young played with the group for only part of the set. It may seem odd that the most famous song about Woodstock came from someone who wasn't there, but Mitchell had a different perspective. I was one of the many who were thwarted," she said on the CBC program The National .

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young Lyrics. Well I came upon a child of God, he was walking along the road And I asked him tell me where are you going, this he told me: Said, I'm going down to Yasgur's farm, going to join in a rock and roll band. Got to get back to the land, and set my soul free. We are stardust, we are golden, we are billion year old carbon, And we got to get ourselves back to the garden. By the time we got to Woodstock, we were half a million strong, And everywhere was a song and a celebration. And I dreamed I saw the bomber jet planes riding shotgun in the sky, Turning into butterflies above our nation. We are stardust, we are golden, we are caught in the devil's bargain, And we got to get ourselves back to the garden.

Déjà Vu (Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young album). Déjà Vu is the second album by trio Crosby, Stills & Nash, and their first as a quartet with Neil Young. It was released in March 1970 by Atlantic Records, catalogue SD 7200. It topped the pop album chart for one week and generated three Top 40 singles: "Woodstock", "Teach Your Children", and "Our House". It was re-released in 1977 as SD-19188 and the cover was changed from black to brown.

David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash formed a loose group in 1968 after the demise of their former bands. After their first album was released in May 1969 (simply called Crosby, Stills & Nash) Neil Young joined them, too. Though the quartet was incredibly successful, the musicians rather paid attention to their individual solo careers. Luckily the formation of CSN&Y made it to Woodstock, too. It was only their second gig and they were quite nervous on stage

WOODSTOCK - Crosby Stills Nash & Young Album: Deja Vu (1970) and I think it's on that double CD that came out in 1991 which has a collection of their hits. Written by Joni Mitchell. "I'm going on down to Yasgurs farm A7sus Em Gonna join in a Rock & Roll band A7sus Em7 Gonna camp out on the land. And set my soul free". chorus: A7sus We are stardust.

Crosby Stills Nash & Young performed at Woodstock in 1969, and then recorded this which was written by Joni Mitchell. I sat down and came up with this recently. I'm not sure if it's 100% but it sounds good enough to me. And does anyone know the complete tab to 'Teach your children'. If so, please post it.
