It spawned two Top 40 hit singles, "Marrakesh Express" and "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes," which peaked respectively at the week of August 23, 1969, and at the week of December 6, 1969, on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Crosby, Stills & Nash re-formed without Young in 1977 for the album CSN, another giant hit. They followed with Daylight Again in 1982, but by then Crosby was in the throes of drug addiction and increasing legal problems. He was in jail in 1985-1986, but cleaned up and returned to action, with the result that CSNY reunited for only their second studio album, American Dream, in 1988.

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young formed out of the '60s groups the Byrds (David Crosby), Buffalo Springfield (Stephen Stills and Neil Young) and the Hollies (Graham Nash). They originally started in 1969 as a trio, adding Neil Young for their second album, 'Deja Vu,' in 1970. The group has gone through some tough times over the years, breaking up, reforming and splitting into other sections. The quartet has released only three albums since 1970; the trio has issued five.
