Erpland is the second studio album by British psychedelic rock band Ozric Tentacles. It was originally released on 25 June 1990 on Dovetail Records, with a digitally remastered CD/DVD release on 6 February 2017 through Snapper Music's Madfish label. The remastered version of Erpland contains a live DVD of the band playing at The Fridge in Brixton, UK on 19 May 1991

This is the second that i hear of this band, and Im continually impressed with the versatility and originality in the composition of music. They incorporate a lot of styles of music and mixed perfectly with progressive space rock.

Ozric Tentacles have developed an impressive following during their existence, defying every attempt to pigeonhole them as one thing or another - the best approach is simply to abandon all categories and go with the flow. That said, this 1998 CD release treats the music with great respect, and sounds wonderful.

Ozric Tentacles bridges the gap between the two worlds perfectly. The sound is airy, swirling, colorful, and spacey. It took me a while to get into Ozric Tentacles. Ten years ago I purchased their "Jurassic Shift" album and it did not do a lot for me. I ended up selling it back to a used CD store. A couple of years ago I had the chance to see the Finnish band Hidria Spacefolk at the North East Art Rock festival. I really dug them, and since they were constantly being compared to Ozrics, I thought I would give the Tentacles another chance. Over the years my musical tastes have expanded quite a bit and this time I "got it" with them and have been a fan ever since
