Candy Apple Grey is the fifth album by the alternative rock band Hüsker Dü, released in 1986. It was their first major label album, though Warner Bros. had initially lobbied to release Flip Your Wig until the band decided to let SST have it. Candy Apple Grey also marks the completion of the band's transition from hardcore punk to a more well-rounded sonic style which would later come to be known as alternative rock or college rock

Album · 1986 · 10 Songs. With two strong songwriters in the group - Mould and drummer Grant Hart - Hüsker Dü were able to bend their attack towards power pop ends without going completely soft. Don't Want to Know If You Are Lonely," "Sorry Somehow," "Dead Set On Destruction," and "Eiffel Tower High" are elegant, well-crafted pop songs delivered with an extra blast of feedback and committed passion.

Candy Apple Grey from 1986 marks Hüsker Dü's "sellout" to the big nasty major label Warner Bros. So, naturally, this album is supposed to be a terrible album. sorry to disappoint you guys, but it ain't. Do you know how bands like Nirvana and Soundgarden ever could wind up at respectively Geffen and A&M" Because of this very album here

Talk about Hüsker Dü - Candy Apple Grey

Haracetys
I keep getting sold the wrong version of this record. People are selling this version:https://www.discogs.com/H%C3%BCsker-D%C3%BC-Candy-Apple-Grey/release/10432600 when it clearly isn't a first pressing. All you have to do is check if the matrix/runout on the record matches the one on this release page. I am sick of this happening on Discogs. The last few orders I've received were all different versions than the ones they were advertised as. You can't just look at the title of the record and sell it as any old version. Please be more careful and make sure you are selling the right version! Its just unprofessional and very frustrating. I hate wasting money and I'm sure many other people would agree with me. I specifically wanted a first pressing, and if I wanted a different one, then I would have gone to that release page and purchased that version.
