Shop Vinyl and CDs and complete your Spectral collection. As noted on this site, some copies of this release are faulty. Having bought my copy about 8 years ago in a second hand store, I assumed someone had damaged it with a CD scratch remover, as the discs seemed to look and feel 'worn', almost as if it had been scoured away.

The diffuse series is a series of spectral lines in the atomic emission spectrum caused when electrons jump between the lowest p orbital and d orbitals of an atom. The total orbital angular momentum changes between 1 and 2. The spectral lines include some in the visible light, and may extend into ultraviolet or near infrared. The lines get closer and closer together as the frequency increases never exceeding the series limit

Learn more about Diffuse Reflection. Object appearance and colour. Asim Kumar Roy Choudhury, in Principles of Colour and Appearance Measurement, 2014. Diffuse reflection is the reflection of light from a surface such that an incident ray is reflected at many angles, rather than at just one angle as in the case of specular reflection. An illuminated ideal diffuse reflecting surface will have equal luminance from all directions in the hemisphere surrounding the surface, . Lambertian reflectance. A surface built from a non-absorbing powder such as plaster, or from fibres such as paper, or from a polycrystalline material such as white marble, reflects light diffusely with great efficiency.

Lost In Space Sometimes it's challenging to exemplify someone’s work and creation with just one word, but that's not the case when it comes to the music of german Goa trance project Veasna. Mastermind behind the Veasna project and passionate Goa trance aficionado Patrick Dinklage gave a great definition of its own creation, by calling it simply noschool. Each track on Spectral Flux supports the premise of noschool, offering the finest elements of modern and retro Goa trance, but keeping the creators own trademark mood.

Near-infrared, and more recently, mid-infrared diffuse reflection spectroscopy (more commonly and erroneously called reflectance spectroscopy) have come to be extensively used to determine the composition of products ranging from forages and drugs to soils. In these methods, spectra are generally collected as reflectance or R and transformed to log (1/reflectance).

PDF Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) is a well-established method to quantitatively distinguish between benign and cancerous tissue for tumor margin assessment.

Talk about Spectral - Diffuse

Cobyno
An interesting album this, sitting on the wall between chill out and Goa trance. Spectral made a few killer Goa tracks released as 12" that are worth getting hold of. None of the material here, apart from the much-anthologised "Avalon" that is the best track on this album, is in the league of those more uptempo numbers. Nevertheless, there is some pleasure in this album as a daytime listen. The album as a whole is has a light, funky disposition that, if unchallenging, is pleasant. There is substantial use of funk guitar throughout and some nice basslines and pads. There are also attempts to integrate some tribal atmospheres. On the downside, it doesn't really hang together, lacks flow as an album, and borders on cheese at times. The tribal aspects are not really integrated either, so this is no Shpongle album. Not a great album then, but perhaps worth a listen if you're into mellow trancey beats with a funky attitude. ~*~
