The Kingsmen Greatest Hits. The Kingsmen Greatest Hits. Compilation album by The Kingsmen. The Kingsmen Greatest Hits is the seventh album by the rock band The Kingsmen, released in 1966. 1 Release and reception.

The Kingsmen's Greatest Hits is really a sad story about egos interfering in spontaneous genius. Popular artists as diverse as Paul Revere & the Raiders and Iggy Pop failed to re-create the magic of Jack Ely and the Kingsmen, and this collection is as insulting as the overdubbed applause which IS on the version of "Money" on this compilation. For "Louie, Louie" completists, though, it is a must have.
