Aladdin Sane is the sixth studio album by English musician David Bowie, released by RCA Records on 13 April 1973. The follow-up to his breakthrough The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, it was the first album he wrote and released from a position of stardom.

Watching him dash away Swinging an old bouquet (dead roses) Sake and strange divine hh (You'll make it) Passionate bright young things Takes him away to war (Don't fake it) Sadden glissando strings hh (You'll make it). Who will love Aladdin Sane Battle cries and champagne Just in time for sunrise Who will love Aladdin Sane.

Aladdin Sane was the first album with Mike Garson at the keyboards, thing that gave the album a special taste, a special colour that aims to what David Bowie’s music would look like in 1975’s album Young Americans. In Paolo Hewitt’s book, David Bowie: life and discography, appears a fragment of an interview that David made in 1973 where he talked about the music in Aladdin Sane: Part of Aladdin Sane’s music is strange, weird. I have been influenced by some of the best and most advanced musicians of jazz, such as Mike Garson or Keith Tippett

Aladdin Sane is the sixth album by David Bowie. Watch That Man. Aladdin Sane (1913-1938-197?) Drive-In Saturday. Let's Spend The Night Together (Rolling Stones cover). Woody Woodmansey: drums. Categories: Studio Albums.

Such discrepancies have made David Bowie the most recently controversial of all significant pop artists - all of it owing to the confusion of levels on which he operates. His flamboyant drive for pop-star status has stamped him in many people’s eyes a naked opportunist and poseur. But once it is recognized that stardom represents a metaphysical quest for Bowie, one has to grant at least that the question of self-inflation is in his case unconventional. The twin impulses are to be a star (. Jagger) and to be a star (. If by conventional lights Bowie is a lad insane, then as an Aladdin, a conjurer of supernatural forces, he is quite sane. The titles may change from album to album - from the superman, the homo superior, Ziggy, to Aladdin - but the vision, and Bowie’s rightful place in it, remain constant. The pun of the title, alternately vaunted and dismissive, plays on his own sense of discrepancy.

The Aladdin Sane cover features the iconic image of Bowie with a red and blue lightning bolt painted across his face. This would later be imitated by Lady GaGa. Mike Garson told Mojo regarding his piano solo: "For the title track, they used my third take. Kenny from Clydebank, ScotlandMy favourite bowie album, Aladdin Sane. Drive-in Saturday, Panic in Detroit, Prettiest Star. And the photo of bowie on the cover is extraordinary; he really was like a man from another planet. Tricia from Edinburgh, ScotlandMy sister was more into Bowie than me, but the whole Album was great. Tom Johnston from The Doobie BrothersSongwriter Interviews.

There is no such instrument as bux-saxophone. The credit on the inside front and back covers listed as Ken Fordham (bux-saxophone, flutes) is a mistake. It should be Ken Fordham, Bux (saxophone, flutes). Bux is Brian Wilshaw. This mistake is repeated in many Aladdin Sane releases, some of which may be found with the Discogs search https://www.localhost/search/?q=bowie+%22bux-saxophone%22&type=all reveals.
See [Five Years 1969 - 1973] and Aladdin Sane for the correct credit.
