Talk about Merzbow - Offering

Folsa
This is by far one of Merzbow's best albums. The first track truly blows me away every time I listen to it. There is about 3:50 of ambient/noise stuff building up to a huge beat and even more intense harsh noise shrills/tones/etc. It's hard to describe without actually listening to it I guess, but if I was going to introduce someone to the best of Merzbow's harsh noise, this CD is the best way to introduce it. Truly a masterpiece, one of a kind. I'm glad I bought my copy before more years pass on; eventually a CD with such few copies will be bought out before you know it. Especially since this is so quality of a release. The second track also compliments the first one nicely, and has a very psychedelic kind of beat to it. It plays wonderfully in my Saturn's CD player sound system. If you were going to buy a CD for a friend or family member, and they like experimental music, perhaps noise, or even drone, I would instantly recommend this release.
