Bus Stop ‎(LP, Album).

Bus Stop" is a song recorded and released as a single by the British rock band The Hollies in 1966. It reached No. 5 in the UK Singles Chart. It was the Hollies' first US top ten hit, reaching No. 5 on the Billboard charts in September 1966

Released in the wake of the Hollies' American breakthrough, Bus Stop is standard British Invasion fare, with the titular Top Ten American hit leading off an album split evenly between pop and American R&B cover songs. As far as the R&B goes, there were English groups that did it much better, from the Stones to the Animals, Yardbirds, and Small Faces.

The Stop Stop Stop album is light years ahead of Bus Stop-very hard to believe it's from the same year! A completely self-penned album, the song maturity and lyrical depth-jump is amazing. Graham Nash is obviously about to explode as a major artist (Tell Me To My Face is Marrakesh Express, J. Also, the introspective Clown and Crusader clearly pave Nash's road towards CS&N, less than two years later. The "Bus Stop" album has 10 songs in high quality true stereo & 2 songs in pure mono. This album was the first Hollies album that I bought back in 1968, but my vinyl . If it is true, as some have said, that the original stereo vinyl was mostly fake stereo, then EMI & the BGO label have done a wise thing reassembling the album from quality Uk original masters).

According to the Bus Stop Songfacts, Gouldman said in a Manchester newspaper he wrote this whilst riding on a No. 95 bus. It ran from East Didsbury - the route went through Manchester city centre, to Sedgeley Park, Cheetham Hill, Prestwich, and on to Whitefield near Bury. Graham was living with his family on this route in Broughton Park Salford at the time. The Air That I Breathe.
