Twang Bar King is the second solo album by Adrian Belew, released in 1983. Made while Belew was an active member of King Crimson during the early 1980s, Twang Bar King was recorded in between the sessions and tours for Beat and Three of a Perfect Pair. Like its predecessor Lone Rhino, it features the members of Belew's pre-King Crimson band GaGa (this time augmented by session drummer and former Elvis Presley band member Larrie Londin) and the songs on it are drawn from GaGa's repertoire.

King Crimson guitarist/colorist Adrian Belew. Delighted to finally find the complete Lone Rhino album on CD - my 30 year old vinyl copy was getting a bit long in the tooth (or horn). The fact that Twang Bar King was on the same CD was a nice bonus.

1982's Lone Rhino was recorded after Belew had played on three of the most important recordings of the era after punk: David Bowie's Lodger (the third part of his Berlin trilogy), the Talking Heads' Remain in Light, and Discipline, the debut offering from the re-formed King Crimson. While the set's material is generally lighter and breezier, there is plenty of experimentation in both technique and production.

Lone Rhino is the debut solo album by Adrian Belew. The album was recorded following years of Belew playing as a supporting guitarist for Frank Zappa, David Bowie, Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club, and shortly after his 1981 debut as the new lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist of King Crimson. It features musicians and repertoire from Belew's pre-King Crimson band, GaGa. A video was produced for the track "Big Electric Cat", shot in New York City and opens with a shot of the World Trade Center.
