Melvin Glover (born May 15, 1961), better known by his stage name Melle Mel (/ˈmɛli mɛl/) and Grandmaster Melle Mel, is an American hip hop recording artist who was the lead vocalist and songwriter of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. Melvin Glover was born in The Bronx, New York City, New York. Glover began performing in the late 1970s. He may have been the first rapper to call himself MC (master of ceremonies).

Right Now is an album by former Furious Five members, Grandmaster Mele Mel and Scorpio. The album was released on April 8, 1997 for Str8 Game Records and was produced by Melle Mel and Scorpio. The album was a critical and commercial failure and did not make it to the billboard charts. Two singles were released "Mama" and "Mr. Big Stuff" but neither of the two made it the billboard charts either.
