Steel Pole Bath Tub was an American rock band, formed in 1986 in Bozeman, Montana by Mike Morasky (guitar/vocals) and Dale Flattum (bass/vocals). Morasky and Flattum moved the band to Seattle, Washington where Darren Mor-X (drums) joined the band, before they all moved to San Francisco, California.

Dale Flattum, Darren Mor-X, Mike Morasky. The re-issue of Tulip has been out for a week or so and the fine folks at Sinister Torch have done an amazing job. The remastering comes as close as sounding like it should have but somehow still sounding like it did as is ever going to happen. Fantastic text from Henry Owings, Noah Landis and the ineffable Tom Flynn. And of course new art from Brother Tooth and Casey Burns. Get yers now before you forget to care.

Tulip is the second album by Steel Pole Bath Tub, released in 1990 through Boner Records.

Songwriter – Steel Pole Bath Tub. Turntables, Effects, Bass, Vocals – Dale Flattum. Recorded at the Rhythm and Noise Compound. A Revolver waste product.

How a band like Steel Pole Bath Tub ever ended up on a major label is a mystery. It was part of the insanity of the mid-'90s that bands like Steel Pole Bath Tub and the Melvins could ever have caused major-label execs to see dollar signs. Few of the noisier bands to get signed lasted more than a year or two on major labels and many, like Steel Pole Bath Tub, broke up immediately afterwards. On the other hand, a "soundtrack to nothing" isn't such a bad description of this album  . Exclusive discount for Prime members. Sample this album Artist (Sample).
