Freddie Keppard (sometimes rendered as Freddy Keppard) (February 27, 1889 – July 15, 1933) was an early jazz cornetist who once held the title of "King" in the New Orleans jazz scene. This title was previously held by Buddy Bolden and succeeded by Joe Oliver. Keppard (pronounced in the French fashion, with relatively even accentuation and a silent d) was born in the Creole of Color community of downtown New Orleans, Louisiana.

On this page you can not listen to mp3 music free or download album or mp3 track to your PC, phone or tablet. All materials are provided for educational purposes.

Jazz critics and historians seem to enjoy arm wrestling over the question of exactly which sessions actually had Keppard in attendance. In a way the point is moot, and the real reason for listening to these relics is to be able to enjoy a stack of rusty old platters waxed in the wilds of the Windy City. Track Listing - Disc 1.
