Skiffledog is hilton valentine. He fronted his very first skiffle band at the age of 13. This is the music he would always return to. Even when he was touring the world playing rock and roll, at home he'd take out his acoustic and revisit the old skiffle music and write folk songs. He's back to his roots again with a new studio recording of original acoustic music with some old skiffle thrown in. Having received airplay from several BBC Radio stations in the UK and in his home state of CT it has been well received by their listeners and fans all over the world

Skiffledog was formed in 2003 when Hilton decided it was more fun playing the music that got him started as well as his own original music inly of acoustic guitar, bass guitar, snare w/ brushes, with some spoons, washboard, tambourine and shakers thrown in for good measure. With the first release of It's Folk 'n' Skiffle, Mate! released in 2004, Hilton and gang have played throughout New England, NYC, and South Carolina. 2011 - Skiffledog on Coburg ST released. loads of jumpin' rock n' roll and skiffle.

He released a new album, It's Folk 'n' Skiffle, Mate! in 2004. From that release until October 2009 he played throughout New England, New York and South Carolina, with his Skiffledog solo project. As well, from February 2007 to November 2008 Valentine toured with Eric Burdon. In early 2009 he released two basement demo recordings on his MySpace page. In 2011 Hilton Valentine released a new album titled Skiffledog on Coburg Street and a Christmas album with Big Boy Pete Miller ex-Peter Jay and the Jaywalkers titled Merry Skifflemas!
