Chvrches - Recover EP flac album

On 6 February 2013, Chvrches premiered the second single "Recover". It was followed by Recover EP, out on 25 March 2013 in the UK via Goodbye/Virgin and 26 March 2013 in the US via Glassnote. On 15 July 2013, they released the single "Gun". In July 2013 Chvrches supported Depeche Mode on four shows from The Delta.

The Glasgow trio's debut EP shows off Chvrches' penchant for exploring and embracing synth pop's artificial sunlight. The songs here are driven by themes of belief, devotion, and discovery, and imbued with an unabashed sense of wonder. The title track of Recover, though, shines just as bright as Chvrches' first two singles, and it continues to hone a sound that's beginning to sound distinct from their electro-pop contemporaries. Chvrches have garnered plenty of comparisons to Purity Ring, but- with the exception of the chopped-up Megan James-like vocal hiccups that open "Mother"- the Glaswegians' music has little interest in deconstruction

Chvrches came fifth on the BBC's Sound of 2013 list of the most promising new music talent. In March 2013, they released Recover EP. Their debut studio album The Bones of What You Believe was released on 20 September 2013.
