Hundred Reasons are a British rock band from Farnborough, Hampshire, formed in 1999. Originally signed to Columbia Records in mid-April 2001 after fourteen months of near-constant touring. Their debut album Ideas Above Our Station reached number 6 in the UK album chart, spawned several Top 40 singles and has since gone gold in the UK. The band went on to tour extensively throughout Europe and Japan.

Hundred Reasons play Fopp stores in Southampton and Nottingham this March in support of the release of their powerful third album 'Kill Your Own' out on March 20th through V2 Records, featuring the current single of the same name and last year's exclusive Singles Club 3 track 'Feed The Fire'. Kill Your Own ' is Hundred Reasons' first album for V2 Records, and sees them unleash their frustrations of the past twelve months with a hard-hitting, angry, full-on rock record, which at the same time manages to be gentle, positive and up-lifting.

Hundred Reasons have had 6 top 40 hit singles, sold in excess of 400,000 albums, singles and downloads, and have been nominated for several Awards, winning three Kerrang! awards for: "Best New Band" (2000), "Best Album" (2002) and "Best Unsigned Act" (2004). Ideas Above Our Station and Shatterproof is Not a Challenge (2002-2004). Kill Your Own and Townsend's departure (2005-2006). Quick the Word, Sharp the Action (2007-2009). Ideas Above Our Station anniversary shows (2012). Lamps Collapsing" (2002) Fan club release only. If I Could" (2002) UK No. 19. "Silver" (2002) UK No. 15.

Belatedly released as a single in the UK in 1985, it reached No. 24 on the UK Singles Chart. When re-released in 1992, it reached No. 16. In 2007, Marr said "How Soon Is Now?" is "possibly most enduring record. However, for unknown reasons, the song was dropped and the group's single "30 Minutes" was then proceeded as the replacement, despite its lack of success on record charts and airplay. The single was released on 7 July 2003, only four weeks after the group's single "30 Minutes" was released.

Formed in late 1999, Hundred Reasons released four studio albums, a live DVD, three live albums, had six Top 40 singles, two Top 20 albums and sold over 300,000 records. They toured the world several times, somehow always missing the US (except for that one time at SXSW) and Australia. Winners of Kerrang! Best New Band 2000, Kerrang! Best Album 2002, Kerrang! Readers Poll Best Unsigned Band 2004. Debut album Ideas Above Our Station is certified Gold in the UK. The band played sold out Year Ten anniversary shows in 2012. Their last show was at Sonisphere 2014.

The UK Singles Chart is a record chart compiled on behalf of the British record industry. Until 1 February 1994, the chart was compiled each week by Gallup – after this date, it was managed by Millward Brown, who expanded the number of sales figures sampled, and extended the use of electronic point of sale machines.
