Greatest Hits is a posthumous double-disc greatest hits album by American rapper 2Pac, released by Amaru Entertainment, Death Row Records, and Interscope Records on November 24, 1998. The album's non-chronological sequence focuses on the highlights of 2Pac's career. 21 of his tracks are accompanied by four previously unreleased songs: "God Bless the Dead", "Unconditional Love", "Troublesome '96", and "Changes"

Greatest Hits is a strange release. Sure, Tupac Shakur had more than enough hits to make a terrific compilation, but its appearance in the fall of 1998 felt a bit like another opportunity to milk his catalog, simply because of the plethora of releases, from previously unheard recordings to interview discs and bootlegs.

2Pac’s Greatest Hits compilation is a double album released on November 24, 1998 in a joint venture between Death Row, Interscope and Afeni Shakur’s Amaru Entertainment. The album includes four previously unreleased tracks alongside tracks from 2Pac’s first four albums, the Makaveli album, and the Thug Life album, as well as the B-side diss track Hit ‘Em Up. This compilation was 2Pac’s second release to achieve Diamond status and features the single Changes, which was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Rap Solo Performance category. Greatest Hits Q&A.

2Pac's Greatest Hits, released a mere two years after his tragic murder in November 1996, gathers the West Coast icon's hits into one essential collection. With the possible exception of All Eyez on Me and Me Against the World, this is his best release. It encompasses his many moods and personas, from the social observer of "Brenda's Got a Baby" and the playful thug of "I Get Around" to the battle rapper who sparked a national culture war with "Hit 'Em U.
