If the goal was to distinguish himself from his brother, than the answer is no, as Oh No's dusty beats bear the mark of siblings come before. Although, several of his productions, including "Perceptions" and "Take Another," stand out from (if not up against) Madlib's with their smoother G-funk sound. But if the goal was to simply make a solid hip-hop album in the growing tradition of Stones Throw releases, then The Disrupt is a success

Studio album by Oh No. Released. The Disrupt is the debut album by Oh No, an American hip hop rapper and producer signed to Stones Throw Records. Oh No produced the majority of this album, however fellow Stones Throw producers Madlib and J Dilla had a few contributions. manufactured copies of this album are missing the two bonus tracks. A pressing error had resulted in the two tracks being omitted from some copies, and the copies were sold before they could be pulled from the shelves. The Disrupt was also released in an instrumental format.

In August 2006, Oh No released the album Exodus Into Unheard Rhythms, exclusively sampling the music of Galt MacDermot and featuring appearances from numerous other rap artists, mostly in the Stones Throw family. The album was well received by critics and established Oh No as one of the leading underground producers in hip-hop. The Disrupt Chronicles Vol. 2 (2004) (mixed by DJ DoubleDose). The Disrupt Chronicles Part 0 (2005) (mixed by DJ DoubleDose). Turn That Shit Up (2006) (with Roc C & DJ Rhettmatic).
