Rough Trade was a Canadian new wave rock band in the 1970s and 1980s, centred on singer Carole Pope and t Kevan Staples. The band was noted for their provocative lyrics and stage antics; singer Pope often performed in bondage attire, and their 1981 hit "High School Confidential" was one of the first explicitly lesbian-themed Top 40 hits in the world.

FreeLance Band is a Dutch blues band. They recorded their first album, "Rough And Tough", in the early eighties. Their second album "Midnight Power House" got recorded in 1985. The "Some Kind Of Wonderful" single got released shortly before the band broke up. The Freelance Band also did a session for dutch radio show "Vara's Popkaravaan": recorded live in Emmen, The Netherlands, on July 8th 1980. Line up : John Lagrand - harmonica, harmony vocals.
