Scott was the début solo album by Scott Walker, originally released in the United Kingdom on Philips Records in 1967. The album received both strong commercial success as well as critical praise, hitting No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart. This album, alongside Scott 2, features Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound" recording technique, Scott 3 and Scott 4 however do not.

As a Berklee College of Music professor, Scott Tarulli is well versed in all things rock, blues and jazz (His friends know he also happens to be a closet Dio-loving metal head). His new album, Anytime, Anywhere, features a treasure trove of hooks and catchy songs; it also happens to feature special guests including bebop slide guitar legend David Tronzo, bassist Tony Levin and Jerry Marotta. I recently caught up with Tarulli to discuss the new album. What was it like working with David Tronzo on the song "One Year"? Dave is a great guy, and we've known each other for years but.

The electronic band called Scott consists of the Cologne House duo Jan Brauer and Daniel Brandt. Daniel is the drummer and Jan plays keyboards and sequencers, together they create a "live dynamic" which has fascinated clubs in Germany and Japan. The a-side of the 3 tracker "Anytime" is a great deep open air house track! Scott collaborated with Aroop Roy for this track. A man of many talents, Aroop provided the vocals and also found time to play the synths, program the drums and co-produce the final sequencing for the track. The song is a tribute to life in general. It perfectly mirrors a hot summer day in the shade... sun rippled beats, cool Rhodes playing along accompanied by the brilliant vocals. "Anytime" creates a room where the space-time continuum is overruled and time stands still. "Just as long as I got you" starts as an instrumental track, adding few vocals by Sarah Roth-Profenius, then changing direction towards a straighter Chicago groove with 303 New Wave and John Foxx like synths. The b2 track "Memory Core" takes it down to the very cool essential drum beats, clad in a dark atmosphere and the whispering voice of Sarah Roth-Profenius. The record will be released with two digital bonus tracks. French producer Le K aka Sylvain Garcia offspring of the legendary Circus Company label has transformed "Anytime" into a straight forward groove slammer with cut up voice samples. The second digital track comes from Berlin artist Paul Frick. He has turned the original of "Memory Core" into a more stripped down house track with an emphasis on the vocals.
