In 1974 Richard Zimmerman recorded a brilliant five-LP set that includes virtually every selection written or arranged by Scott Joplin, the king of ragtime composers. In addition to interpreting all of Joplin's rags, Zimmerman performed the composer's early songs, the music from his ragtime opera "Treemonisha" and some works that were not discovered until the 1970s.

These are Scott Joplin pieces that I have typeset in MuseScore and which are in the public domain for all time. Please use the downloadable formats as you wish. I do not need to be acknowledged as the source as ultimately these digital formats would appear identical to each other whoever created them.

I bought "Joplin, His complete works" because I had a single CD from the earlier release "Joplin, The complete works" and gave it to a friend. I rewarded my generosity with purchase of the full set. I love listening to Zimmerman's interpretations. It touches my heart and gut. His play inspires mine to improve and piques my interest in new tunes. To release a complete anthology is both quite an accomplishment and a valuable contribution. Richard Zimmerman is one of the best interpreters of Scott Joplin. Zimmerman avoids the pitfalls many others have taken by playing Joplin's music too fast and/or too flashy. Zimmerman's tempos are moderate and his isaion is tasteful.
